The Lemon Cichlid (Neolamprologus leleupi) is an attractive and bright yellow cichlid that belongs to the Tanganyika lake species which makes it a suitable companion fish in a Frontosa aquarium.
This species is not compatible for other tropical fish community aquariums and should be fed more live and frozen food with less reliance on a dry diet for better health conditions. A sand substrate and rocks or caves are necessary for its environment.
African Cichlids require an aquarium to be set specifically for their harder water conditions, they are not compatible for regular community aquariums and can destroy live plants.
Fish Size Guide:
The ‘Maximum Size’ outlined below is the length this fish can reach as a full grown adult. For the actual size please use the select menu above.
Discus.ae prefers younger stock for their better ability to adapt to new water parameters and higher tolerance against transport. On rare occasions you may receive larger specimens when small fish are unavailable, however the smallest should be expected unless the size is noted as “Large” or “Adult”.
