Rare & Limited Availability! Our L-Number designer plecos are captive bred and not wild caught animals.
Zebra plecos are a highly sought after small-sized pleco fish which does not exceed 6 to 8 cm in length at their largest (centimeters, not inches!) and can live a long lifespan of 10 to 15 years, making them a prized and valuable fish to own for hobbyists that wish to own special and rare varieties.
Feeding the L046 Zebra should consist of a complete diet to ensure the best health and growth conditions, unlike other common plecos it is not an active algae eater and may not survive without being supplemented with proper sinking wafers daily and occasional frozen food treats. They are also shy by nature and will hide in presence of other pushy species, they do best in a calm aquarium and live peacefully with other smaller plecos and corydoras.
It’s important to note that our L-Numbrs are clear from diseases and well adapted to clean and dechlorinated local tap water. However given that our pleco stocks are kept in pristine water conditions with very low bacterial content, we urge owners to avoid adding them directly into an old aquarium to prevent adverse reactions which may lead to unfavorable health risks. Instead, please prepare a separate quarantine tank and contact our team for guidance, our affordable rimless aquariums are an excellent choice for this purpose.
