The Manacapuru angel, also known as Red Shoulder angelfish, is a wild strain which originate from the Rio Manacapuru in Brazil. When young, the fish appears silver but starts to develop its signature red-shoulder coloration which makes this particular variety a sought after color in the Angelfish family.
We’re happy to introduce our original tank-bred Åpex Manacapuru Angel which allows us to enjoy this stunning fish without the health risks associated with wild caught animals.
For the best conditions, avoid disturbing the Manacapuru Angel’s environment once the fish are acclimated and settled (such as changing decorations or performing intense water changes frequently) to avoid stress which causes the red pigments and markings to fade.
The elegant and graceful Angelfish (P. Scalare) is a popular tropical fish that is easy to keep given that enough space and quality water conditions are provided, making this beautiful and relaxing fish a staple choice for community tanks and large planted aquascapes. Angelfish also belong to the Cichlidae family and a distant relative of our beloved Discus fish and butterfly cichlids, sharing similar environmental and behavioral traits.

Your item must be in the original packaging and in good condition. It must also not be used. The item must be returned in its original packaging.
