Yoyo loaches are commonly known as Almora Loaches, Lohahata Botia Loaches, and Pakistani Loaches, they are an energetic and peaceful bottom dweller.
In nature, they are often found in large aggregations and in captivity will often pack into a single nook, cranny or cave when at rest, so a group of 5 to 6 specimens is the recommended minimum.
Yoyo loaches are often used to eat pest snails, they are not compatible in aquariums where snails are kept part of the community.
