The Metal Snakeskin Blacktail Guppy shines as if it’s a disco ball reflecting its metallic shades from special pigmented cells called Chromatophore. It dances through the aquatic environment peacefully and gracefully, showing off its blacktail with its female variety that iridescently sways alike. While not a picky eater, it will thrive and remain very colourful on a varied diet of meaty food that is supplemented with spirulina or other nutritious vegetable matter. High-quality and flake food, pellets and frozen or freeze-dried tubifex and bloodworms will all be readily accepted.
A hard water fish in nature and while it may manage in soft and/or acidic conditions, long-term maintenance should be provided for guppies in moderately hard or harder water. Unfussy, though a planted tank with floating vegetation is appreciated. Strong currents should be avoided.
