Daisy’s ricefish is a very peaceful species in nature but is not an ideal addition to many communities due to its small size. It has proven to be adaptable with no special requirements in terms of decor though it tends to be less colourful when maintained in a sparsely-decorated set-up. It arguably looks best in a display that is inspired by its natural habitat which could consist of a sandy substrate, some water-worn tree roots and branches plus a few handfuls of leaf litter.
Fish Size Guide:
The ‘Maximum Size’ outlined below is the length this fish can reach as a full grown adult. For the actual size please use the select menu above.
Discus.ae prefers younger stock for their better ability to adapt to new water parameters and higher tolerance against transport. On rare occasions you may receive larger specimens when small fish are unavailable, however the smallest should be expected unless the size is noted as “Large” or “Adult”.
