Rabbit Snails are peaceful slow-moving freshwater snails which make an excellent bottom feeder due to their scavenging behavior which helps eliminate left overs. They are curious by nature but often remain still in one place and not move for long periods which should not call for concern.
Rabbit snails are among the easiest types of snails to keep given that your water condition contains no Ammonia or Nitrites which they do not tolerate. Optimal pH is around 8.2 to 8.4 but can be adapted to lower pH levels.
Chocolate Rabbit Snails have unique beige colored shells which will turn to dark brown if the aquarium has low calcium and the water is soft or acidic.
